The music for this song and Winter is So Cold When You are All Alone were written a couple of years ago and the lyrics added this year.The opening few lines were inspired by the opening lines of the song Pagliacci by Rhett Miller - a song which is used as the opening theme song to the podcast The Hilarious World of Depression. Musically the chords were inspired by the song Circles by Soul Coughing.
